MINI South Africa and digital publishers, 10and5 have partnered together to give up and coming local artists a platform to showcase their work.

MINI and 10and5 artist programme.

It’s the story every local artist and art appreciator should know about – the Artist Acceleration and Exposure (A3E) programme is in full swing. In partnership with 10and5, we’re transforming the empty wall spaces in our dealerships into galleries and exposing young.

When asked about the programme, former Head of MINI South Africa, Thilosh Moodally said “Iconic design is part of the MINI DNA, MINI has always been much more than just a car brand – it’s a community and a lifestyle. The A3E programme allows us to embrace a range of young South African artists in the creation of their own visual identities, just as MINI has been doing for 60 years.”

The programme began with the 10and5 panel selecting a total of 69 promising artists for 2019. While nurturing their talents and providing them with the tools and exposure they need to reach new markets – 23 have been showcased at MINI Dealerships in Johannesburg and Cape Town for the remainder of this year.

The first exhibition night took place at MINI Auto Bavaria in Midrand on Thursday, 22 August 2019 and saw artists Ayla Senekal, Blessing Blaai, Bongani Ndlovu, Lebogang Mabone, Lisolomzi Pikoli, Mpho Machete and Odirile Khune showcasing their art to a room full

Original artworks from the 23 artists featured in the A3E programme can be viewed and purchased at MINI Auto Bavaria in Midrand and MINI Sandton, both in Johannesburg as well as MINI Auto Atlantic in Cape Town city centre. So why not drop in and show your support for local art?
