A NEW RHYTHM OF LIFE.
PLUG IN AT HOME.
You don’t actually need any complex installation or unit to charge at home. All you have to do is plug in to any conventional household power socket – and relax.
Our surveys show us that the average commuter uses less than 20% of the MINI Cooper SE battery per day. Even if you use your normal domestic electric socket, this 20% is charged in approximately 3 hours. The standard charging cable and adapter is, of course, included with your new all-electric MINI.
With an optional Mode 3 cable, you can charge anywhere you park.
YOU CAN DO IT IN YOUR SLEEP.
You can finally have it all. Wake up, fully rested in the morning to a 'full tank', and start the day, full of energy.
Just like a mobile phone, you can plug your all-electric MINI into your domestic household socket overnight and it will have recharged completely (approx. 15 hours).
Should you happen to park in a basement car park, you could ask your landlord if it would be possible to install a simple socket for your parking space.
GOOD TO KNOW.
WALL OF POWER.
While you can always use your standard charging cable at home or on a holiday trip, the premium quality MINI Wallbox offers you a convenient, faster alternative for daily charging at home.
Figures can vary, of course, but a dedicated, 3-phase 11 kW wallbox connection will generally give you up to 3-times faster charging time. So your all-electric MINI can be fully charged within around 3.5 hours.
To install a wallbox, you will need the expert assistance of an approved electrician. If you are interested in installing a MINI Wallbox, your MINI Retailer will help you locate an installer.
PARK IT. CHARGE IT.
Up to 20 x faster
(with a 50 kW DC charger)
CHARGING AWAY FROM HOME.
Make double use of your parking time.
With your all-electric MINI, you can make good use of this time by taking advantage of the ever-growing number of charging stations at public parking spaces.
More and more supermarkets, shopping centres and furniture stores are offering free use of their AC, and DC, charging stations or triple chargers at their parking facilities. A growing number of hotels are also keen to be seen as more environmentally aware and making more effort to accommodate guests with electric vehicles. And some multi-storey car parks are also offering electric parking spaces at no extra cost.
Flexible and clean.
You can charge your all-electric MINI with an optional Mode 3 cable at public 11 kW charging stations.
Several public charging stations are equipped with both alternating current (AC) via a Type 2 connector and direct current (DC) via CCS plug that gives you up to 50kW electric power.
POWER = WORK/TIME.
If you have a parking space at work, your employer might consider setting up charging facilities for you and your colleagues. The same conditions apply as with charging at home. If you park for a longer period, a high-voltage connection isn’t required. A standard socket is all you need – so you can start your journey home with a fully-charged battery.
The high charge power provided by the Combined Charging System (CCS) comes into play for charging on longer distances.
WORLD’S LARGEST NETWORK IN YOUR HANDS.
and you’re all set

ALL FOR ONE. ONE FOR ALL.
MINI ELECTRIC has teamed up with MINI Charging to give you access to the world’s largest network of compatible rapid chargers. One single RFID charge card is all you need.
MINI Charging gives you access to over 100,000 charging points throughout Europe. There are almost 20,000 located in Germany alone.
You can conveniently activate the charging process with your smartphone or RFID card. Billing is per minute, and you’ll receive a monthly detailed statement of the individual charges and the corresponding costs.

WHEREVER YOU GO.
THERE’S ELECTRICITY EVERYWHERE.
COMPATIBILITY = TOTAL FLEXIBILITY.
Thanks to the Type 2 and CCS compatible connectors, you have total flexibility and can take advantage of every charging station.
The combination of practically-sized charging capacity and stable charging performance of your MINI ensures you can take many ways to reach your destination – and always have several charging options within reach.
ALWAYS IN YOUR SIGHTS.
EVERY JOURNEY A DISCOVERY.
SAVE IN SO MANY WAYS.
8-year drivetrain guarantee
HELPING SAVE THE EARTH COULD SAVE YOU MONEY.
LOW WEAR AND TEAR.
BRAKE ENERGY REGENERATION.
Your all-electric MINI converts braking energy into electricity by using its motor as a generator, and puts some power back into your battery every time you decelerate.
This so-called regenerative braking also conserves the disc brakes and prevents the creation of fine dust particles caused by the wear abrasion of the brake discs.

HOW DO I FIND MINI CHARGING CHARGING STATIONS?
The MINI navigation system provides you with direct access to all charging stations in the MINI Charging network.
You can also search for charging stations: When you set "charging stations" as a special destination in your navigation system, you will be presented with a list of charging stations near you.
The MINI Charging app offers you another option by allowing you to access a list of all available charging stations on your smartphone.
HOW DOES CHARGING AT A CHARGING STATION WORK?
You can use the MINI Charging map or the MINI Charging app to unlock charging stations and start the charging process.
Some charging columns can be operated using the MINI Charging app. The app, which features an integrated QR code scanner, is as easy to use as it is to install. To do so, simply download the app, enter your MINI Charging contract number and your PIN.
HOW DO I PAY?
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW WHEN CHARGING?

- Do not use any extension cables.
- Always connect and disconnect the charging cable in this order:
- Connect to the socket.
- Connect to the vehicle.
- Disconnect from the vehicle.
- Disconnect from the socket.

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHARGING USING ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC) AND DIRECT CURRENT (DC)?
Normal charging with alternating current (AC):
This charges your car efficiently, primarily overnight but also during the day. Compared to a domestic power socket, an AC charging station provides more power and can charge the battery in just a few hours. This type of charging station is referred to as an AC charging station, for short.
Quick charging with direct current (DC):
DC quick charging stations are the better option when you need to charge your car fast. They can recharge your vehicle's battery quickly – while you go shopping or have a bite to eat, for example. The charging process lasts between 30 and 40 minutes. This type of charging station is referred to as a DC charging station, for short.
WHO DO I CONTACT FOR HELP IF I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CHARGING COLUMN?
